Led by Byron Kinnaird
Where: Pallet Pavilion, corner of Kilmore and Durham Streets
When: Sunday 27 October, 10am – 2pm
(rain day: Monday 28 October, 9am – 1pm)
The aim of this workshop is to make new imaginative drawings of the city, building on the idea that we all see, imagine, use, and remember the city differently from each other. But strangely, we all share the same places.
As a group, we will draw these individual and shared memories of the city, emotions about places, and future visions. They will be shared and overlapped like a constellation of stars.
The workshop will begin with creative experiments in drawing and mapping, followed by massive shared drawings of our Supernova City. They will be new maps of Christchurch. Supernova City is led by Melbourne-based NZ artist/architect Byron Kinnaird. This workshop is accessible to all abilities and all ages. Groups and families are welcome. Food and drink available to purchase on site.
