Launch of Freerange Vol.9: The Wet Issue, Sun 26 Oct 5.30-6.30pm

Freerange Press, Noel Meek & Olivia Webb

Space Academy, 371 St Asaph Street

5.30-6.30pm, Sunday 26 October

In the relaxed and light surrounds of the Space Academy, approximately 30 people gathered to celebrate the launch of The Wet Issue, which explores water’s imaginative potential and raw impact on life. From pirates, maritime tales and water-matopeia through to philosophical musings and post-colonial artworks depicting post-climate change futures, this issue pays tribute to the most abundant substance on earth.

Those present enjoy some Muddy Water wine and nibbles as they experienced the water-inspired visual and sonic landscape created specifically for this launch by Olivia Webb and Noel Meek. These artists work together to create multi-layered, glacially developing visual and sonic landscapes, using the inherent complexity of instruments and natural imagery.

Muddy Water vineyard generously provided this evening’s wine and Freerange put on some light nibbles.
