The places available for Simon Gray’s cardboard-box city-building workshop for kids 10 years and up were snapped up quick – the booked-out session brought of 20 kids and their families down to The Commons to try their hand at city-making on a smaller scale. The attendees headed to The Commons on a beautiful Christchurch day, ready to create their shelters out of cardboard boxes. The resulting creations were on display in a post-workshop exhibition on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday over 100 people came to look at the kids’ fantastic shelters.
