Freerange Press presents a free national symposium, Food and the City, at Christchurch’s new public library, Tūranga.

Join Freerange Press, contributors to their book Kai and culture: Food stories from Aotearoa, and invited guests for a symposium where they explore some of the issues involved in the growing, making and eating of our food, and its potential for positive impact in our cities.

Hosted by Simon Wilson, with Rod Oram, Rebekah Graham, Dr Alistair Humphrey (CDHB), Professor Simon Kingham (UC), Angela Clifford (EatNZ), Hugh Nicholson (Regenerate), Joseph Hullen (NgāiTūāhuriri/Ngāti Hinematua), Tracy Berno (AUT), Bailey Peryman (Cultivate), Manaia Cunningham (Hapai Heritage Potato), Glen Herud (Happy Cow Milk), Dr Julia Rucklidge (UC), Dr Suzanne Vallance (Lincoln) & Peter Wells (Food Resilience Network).
