Dematerialization is an immersive experience that links physical space and virtual reality. Step inside an atmospheric space for a virtual performance that explores the complex relationship between technology, architecture and the human body.
A vertical timber corridor orientates the audience towards a screen, projecting a performance from Melbourne, Australia at one-to-one scale. The illusion creates a false perspective, giving a three-dimensionality to the image and space beyond. When the projection mirrors the space inhabited by the audience, the screen becomes a portal into the virtual environment.
